"A Real Time Exploration of the Challenges Facing ADR Professionals"

The New England chapter of the national Association for Conflict Resolution invites proposals for workshops and presentations at our biennial Regional Conference, a daylong event that typically attracts more than 100 mediators, facilitators, arbitrators, educators and others interested in dispute resolution.

We invite proposals on topics relevant to our theme of exploring challenges, obstacles and difficulties facing conflict resolution practitioners across the sub-disciplines today, as well as stories of and strategies for success in overcoming them. This call for proposals is purposely broad in order to encourage submissions on subjects that may not fit closely with the theme but will interest members of the conflict resolution community.

The conference will be comprised of 50-60 minute and 75-90 minute blocks for research presentations, workshops, roundtables and panel presentations. Proposals may indicate a preference for one of these time lengths and/or formats or they may propose another time length or format altogether.

Please click here to download the Proposal Form that should be completed by those interested in presenting at the Regional Conference. This form should be returned to NEACR by email.

Proposals must include the following information:

1. A proposed title
2. Contact information, including your name, any professional affiliation, address, email address, and phone number
3. A short description of the substance of the program
4. A description of the program format, the amount of time your presentation will take and how you plan to present material and allocate the time
5. Short biographies of all speakers, including your past workshop or presentation experience
6. A statement about your plans to use handouts or technology and what technology resources you will provide or require
