This year, Conflict Resolution Month in Vermont is once again reaching out to leadership, professionals, students and the public. All over the state of Vermont, through free workshops, book displays, speakers, proclamations and public facilitation, Conflict Resolution is the conversation. Below are just some of the scheduled events for this October.

October 2nd: "Peace, the Justice System, Policing and Community Response" (Panel Discussion) Champlain College @ Time TBD.


October 7th: Conflict Resolution Movie Night presents (Film TBD) University of Vermont, Vermont Law School @ Time TBD.


October 8th: Diane Nash "Ghandian Nonvioence: A Legacy for Now" Edmondite Center for Peace and Justice, McCarthy Recital Hall, Saint Michaels College @ 4:00 PM.


October 10th: David Hartsough (Speaker) Friends Meeting House, Burlington @ 7:00 PM.

October 11th-18th: "Canvas Peace Project: Skinny Pancake" (will include Opening Reception and Auction) Burlington @ Times TBD.


October 13th: "Meditating for Mediators and other Peace Makers" Champlain College @ 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.


October 17th: Eric Ronis presents “Are You Listening?” (Improv Workshop for Mediators and Interested Professionals or Students) Champlain College @ 12:00 PM - 1:30 PM.


October 20th: Conflict Resolution Movie Night presents "Burning Bridges" University of Vermont, Davis Center @ 6:00 PM.


October 21st: “Listening for What Matters Most” with Robin Guillian and Kim Harry (Skill Building Workshop) Peace and Justice Center, Burlington @ 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.

October 23rd: Michael Lang (One-Day Intensive Introductory Workshop on Reflective Practice for Conflict Resolution Practitioners) Champlain College, Morgan Room/Aiken Hall @ 9:30 AM - 4:00 PM.


October 27th: "The Biology of Conflict" Location and Time TBD.


Date and Time TBD: Conflict Resolution Skills for Social Change: Opiate Use (Panel discussion with professionals from Rutland, St. Johnsbury, and Winooski).

Date and Time TBD: "Peace is Possible" (Workshop based on Nonviolent Communication) Location and Time TBD.

Book Displays: Champlain College, University of Vermont, Phoenix Book Store, Fletcher Free Library, Peace and Justice Store.
