Elder mediation helps seniors and their adult children resolve conflicts involving living arrangements, caregiving, driving, family communication, medical decisions, powers of attorney, health care proxies, guardianship, conservatorship, financial planning, estate planning, will contests, family real estate and personal property distribution.

In this program, participants will receive in-depth training to enhance the skills necessary to convene multi-party family mediations and facilitate consensus for families experiencing complex and emotionally charged conflict around these critical matters. Join trainers Arline Kardasis and Crystal Thorpe, with guest experts from the fields of elder law and gerontology, for three days packed with content, skill-building, role plays, and opportunities to interact with fellow participants (who often travel from around the world to attend).

The cost of this training is $795 through June 11th ($895 thereafter), which includes continental breakfast, lunch and snacks as well as all course materials.

The training will be held at the Walker Center in Newton, MA, on the following days and times:

   July 21-22:  8:30 am to 5:30 pm

   July 23:    8:30 am to 3:30 pm
