John A. Fiske and Laurie Israel will provide 16 hours of training in marital mediation, with emphasis on the July 16, 2010, decision of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court in Ansin v. Craven-Ansin that properly done contracts between spouses are enforceable.

A blend of lecture, discussion and many role plays will address how this decision can change your family mediation practice by adding a whole new path for family mediators to offer couples. Particular attention is paid to how you introduce the subject to your clients, and the boundaries and overlap between marital mediation and therapy.
