Negotiating with Yourself & Finding Work You Love/Tad Mayer and Justin Wright

To start or advance in a successful career, it’s essential to understand what kind of work you really want to do. Your interests (needs, motivations, and aspirations) make up the foundation for this discovery. This highly interactive workshop will give you tools to identify your interests and give you a jump-start in the self-discovery process.

Strategically targeting a professional path that fulfills your interests empowers you to do the work you love. People not grounded in their interests haphazardly chase opportunities and often find themselves stuck in a role that lacks engagement and inspiration. No matter what stage of your career you are in, deciphering what’s important to you will build your fulfillment instead of leave you wondering “How did I get here?” or “Why am I still in this job?”

This workshop will provide a framework and exercises to define your professional interests, needs, motivations, and aspirations, identify possible paths to achieve those interests, understand how to include others in your process to enhance your clarity, reality test your interests, and generate a broader range of options.

This upcoming workshop is scheduled for Tuesday, April 11 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm and will be led by Tad Mayer and Justin Wright, co-authors of the soon to be released book, Own the Job HuntClick here for more information and registration.
