MWI's Mediation Training is a comprehensive 30-hour skill-building program designed to prepare participants to become effective mediators. Participants will receive coaching, instruction, exposure to solo and co-mediation models, and plenty of opportunities to practice their newly acquired skills. In addition, participants will learn how to deal with difficult personalities and work through ethical dilemmas as they apply the
mediation process, all while improving their personal communication skills. Participants will receive a certificate of completion in accordance with
M.G.L. Chapter 233 section 23C, which is
Massachusetts' mediation confidentiality statute. Following successful completion of the mediation training, participants will have the opportunity
to gain experience as observers and co-mediators in small claims disputes in a number of district courts, including New Bedford, Fall River, Plymouth, and Taunton. For more information, v
