Basic Mediation Training 2011/Mediation Services of North Central MA, Inc.

Mediation Services of North Central  MA will offer a 36-hour Basic Mediation Training course, consisting of a mix of skill-building exercises, practice role plays and interactive presentations. Each component is designed to provide opportunities to learn and practice the skills necessary to mediate.

Subjects covered include:

• How to listen effectively
• How to ask the right kinds of questions
• How  to deal with difficult behavior
• How to help parties communicate

Qualified and experienced observer/coaches  provide timely and personalized feedback during role plays.

This training meets the statutory requirements for mediator confidentiality related to the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 233, Section 23C.
