Mediating Parenting Plans in the Shadow of the 2013 Child Support Guidelines/MWI

  • 20 May 2014
  • 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
  • 4 Faneuil Hall, Boston, MA 02109
On August 1, 2013 the Trial Court promulgated revised Child Support Guidelines. The calculation of child support is now informed by the allocation of time as among (a) “50/50”; (b) 1/3rd; 2/3rds or less; or (c) between “50/50” and 1/3rd/2/3rd. Julie Ginsburg and Alex Jones of Ginsburg Leshin Gibbs & Jones, LLP are both lawyers with Masters in Social Work; Julie is also an LICSW. They both represent clients, as well as serve as guardians ad litem and mediators. They will explore the new challenges of navigating a negotiation of child-centric parenting plans in the shadow of the economic consequences of presumptive child support awards.

This event is free for MWI Mediation Panelists, and it is also free for anyone who has completed the MWI Divorce Mediation Training. For other mediators, this event is open for registration at a cost of $50. To learn more about this or other round table events, call or email Marcus Stergio at 617-973-9739 x27 or mstergio@mwi.org.
