On-Site Mediation in the Probate and Family Court At Last/MCFM

On May 7, 2014, MCFM will hold its Annual Meeting and Professional Development Workshop at the Wellesley Free Library. The day's topic will be "On-Site Mediation in the Probate and Family Court At Last," a presentation by the two professionals bringing mediation to Massachusetts family courts.

Donna Feinberg, LICSW, has been a Probation Officer at the Norfolk Probate and Family Court since 1997 and became the Chief of the Norfolk Probate and Family Court in April 2013. Josh Hoch is a mediator, instructor, mentor, and Director of Mediation & Arbitration Services at MWI. The successful mentoring program that the two have built boasts a 78 percent rate of agreement since its inception in September 2013.

Josh and Donna will explain how the program works, what they are learning about mediation and about mentoring, how the MCFM could be of help, and how mediators can join this program that is opening the door for additional mediation in the Trial Court.
