Founded in the 1980's and officially recognized as a chapter of the Society of Professionals in Dispute Resolution in 1992, the New England chapter of the Association for Conflict Resolution (NEACR) is one of the national association’s largest and oldest, with an impressive history of leadership in the regional dispute resolution community.

NEACR’s members include mediators, arbitrators, collaborative professionals, lawyers, educators, students, and researchers, and make up a lively, supportive community of professionals who share a strong commitment to promoting constructive conflict resolution, implementing best practices and increasing the public's understanding of our work.

For over 30 years, our organization has connected and supported practitioners and scholars in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. We welcome all who are interested in our mission to join the cause in continuing to provide necessary resources to the conflict resolution community in New England.
